Equipped Set

Volume I, Volume II, and Volume III

Equipped: Equipping and Empowerment for Christians and Lay Ministers is a complete curriculum to train ordinary Christians to minister in their churches and communities. Many around us are struggling. Pastors and evangelists cannot do all of the necessary ministry alone. Laymen need to be educated on how to fight the good fight of faith and win! The focus of this Equipped workbook is to develop laymen who can overcome the struggling in their own lives, so they can become useful ministers of the gospel to advance the kingdom of God. This course will also help Christians strengthen their ability to bring seekers out of darkness and into God’s marvelous light. My goal is to empower Christians under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

The most inexpensive way to go is to buy these books, and then study them individually or with a small group of like-minded individuals. I also recommend that one person in your group invest in the school of lay ministry with access to the audio lessons. Groups are more fun because discussion can open the mind to deeper thinking and, as they say, iron sharpens iron. This is a good option if want more help on your path of praying with authority or praying in agreement for your family, church family, local community. “Boot camp” praying for each other is a great way to learn in a safe environment.

Now Available!…Equipped Lay Ministry Course: If you want the three Equipped Volumes, plus 42 online audio Lessons, Handouts, Graduation Certificate, and Ministry Handbook (to help you minister to others), then join our Equipped Lay Ministry Course for $250. This package deal can facilitate one to three years of Bible study at your own pace. When you graduate you will know who you are in Christ, boldness will come, empowerment of the Holy Spirit will guide your ministry, and you will be armed and dangerous! This is not the Kingsbury College credit option.

Holy Spirit at Work

Jesus made a promise that the comforter would come. The comforter is the Holy Spirit and He has come. The Holy Spirit is not some invisible force. He is not an event, a presence, or just a heavenly power. The Holy Spirit is not a wind, a cloud, a vapor, a rain, a dove, or oil, although all those things have been used to represent Him. The Holy Spirit is not an experience, an encounter, or just power. The Holy Spirit is a person. He is the third person of the triune Godhead, and all Christians can know Him, be empowered by Him, and be guided into their full destiny by Him.
From the first days of creation to the answer for the prayer you prayed last night, the Holy Spirit does the work down here on earth. Who touches the heart of the seeker? Who helps the young scholar learn the Word? Who inspires the minstrel to compose a new melody? Who stirs the psalmist to pen a song of praise? Who inspires the author to write the manuscript? The Holy Spirit is the inspiration/inspirer!
Every believer, no matter what age, can be introduced to the Holy Spirit and be empowered to change the world for good. A person’s true destiny can only be achieved with the assistance of the Holy Spirit. It is never too early to introduce young children, middlers, or teens to the Holy Spirit. This book is a whimsical and simple introduction that everyone can understand, and is especially for middlers and young teens. Lord Holy Spirit wants to be their best friend, teacher, comforter, and guide.

Angels at Work

Angels were created by our Father God before the creation of the earth, before the Garden of Eden, and before humans. Angels actually witnessed all of creation and they were overjoyed to see it unfold (Job 38). These beautiful, intelligent, glorious and mighty angels are worthy of study.
Angels have had serious roles in Old Testament history including guarding the Garden of Eden, mediating the Laws of Moses, leading the Israelites out of Egypt, and bringing food to God’s servants. Angels conveyed messages to people throughout the Bible, announced the birth of Jesus, released the apostles from prison, strengthened those who were weary, and ministered to Jesus before the cross.
Many do not realize that in modern times Angels continue to work for mankind. These secret agents have different roles to carry out God’s purposes. Angels may be messengers, warriors, guardians, or ministering spirits. There are angels solely created to worship God and there are angels who are charged with protecting God’s most precious creation and helping us attain our destiny. My goal is to get young people and adults to ask God to send angels when help is needed here on earth and to pray for Psalm 91 angel protection.

Other Wholesome Books

Children’s books on developing relationships with our God, with our earth, with the world’s people, with our families and with each other.

Smells to Treasure

Our sense of smell can bring back more memories than sight, sound, touch, or taste. It can trigger emotions and remind us of good times, important moments and significant places. Smells can delight us, repel us, entice us or calm us.

Smells to Treasure is a book of precious memories, a chronicle of smells from a time past. It is a dedication to the comfort of a good meal, the excitement generated by scents of the earth, and the joy of holidays spent visiting Grandma’s house. It is a tribute to the happiness and safety of exploring the family farm and every part of that life. This book is a repository of memories of a simpler time, before life became so fast-paced and filled with heavy traffic, smart phones, and machinery. It is from an era when there was always something cooking on the old-timey wood stove and the scent of freshly baked bread and baked potatoes poured from the warming closets. It is a walk through the life of a young child who experienced so much by just breathing deeply.

Our Good Earth

Our Good Earth was inspired by Genesis 8:22—seedtime and harvest, winter and summer, day and night. Children can learn so much by experiencing the changing of the seasons. Studying our earth can open up their minds to the wonder of existence and the simple joys of discovering nature, farms, gardens, growth, and life.

This book gives examples of things children may not have imagined such as  examining the veggies, flowers, and spring buds on the trees, even down to the silk attached to each kernel of corn. This book promotes God’s creative genius, how much we are blessed, and the fact that food does not just come from a store. There are so many wholesome things to do, so many adventures to go on, and so many landscapes to explore on our good earth. This book is designed to inspire wonder through common experiences that can be that simple, beautiful, and pure. Get inspired today.

Life on Earth… What a Journey!

Every child is born full of wonder and often even the simplest things can inspire, entertain and excite. A beautiful view can give children a new perspective. Swings can send their imaginations soaring. Even chores like laundry can give children new challenges and responsibilities. We need to make life intentional and live it to the fullest. The goal of this book is to build an appreciation of life and friendships, to model thankfulness, and to encourage being good stewards of what we have. Inspire children with a trip to the park. Teach them that diversity is beautiful. Give them the opportunity to learn tasks that will serve them for the rest of their lives.

Life on Earth…What a Journey reminds us there is so much to cherish in this world. Along this journey of life, we have many helps and those willing to teach us, including parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, pastors, churches, the Bible and the Lord Himself. Life is a precious gift. Teach children to make good decisions, find joy in small pleasures, and learn how to love. Teach them to enjoy life to the point that they can say, “Wow, what a journey!”

Simple Holiday Pleasures

Simple Holiday Pleasures is a look back at the memories of a simpler time. It is a tribute to old fashioned holidays, big family dinners, and the pure joy of the holiday season. This story chronicles the excitement that starts when the turning of the leaves signals to all that Thanksgiving and Christmas are near. From a table full of delicious food that had been planted, picked, canned and prepared right there on the farm to the beauty and smell of spruce, cedar, and pine throughout the house, Thanksgiving and Christmas were a time to experience more than just customs and presents. They were times for bonding, for learning, and for creating memories that lasted a lifetime.

My dad was in the United States Army, and it was always a priority to get back to our Virginia farm for the holidays. Those memories have stayed with me. I can remember my Grandfather telling stories of when he was a child in the late 1800s and his only Christmas gift was an orange or an apple. The world would call him poor, but he was not poor: he was rich in what mattered—family, church family, community and love. This is my story of the holidays, and the special memories that I want to pass on to my family and all who will share in this book and remember their own stories.
