Lay Ministry Equipping Course
For those who want to be equipped and empowered, we have set up a School of Lay Ministry. This school will include the three Equipped Workbooks, audio streaming of each lesson, a Ministry Handbook, and a certificate.
Lesson 1 - The Need for Equipping
The three volumes of Equipped have enough material to last 1-4 years of serious Bible study, depending on how fast each person wants to learn. Believers can decide to study at their own pace. After the first few chapters, Holy Spirit boldness usually develops, and Lay Ministers are born.
Believers will be amazed at how quickly they will learn and how empowered they will be as they exercise their Christian authority and see immediate changes in families, friends, and fellow church members.
Completing the workbooks and audio lessons will earn a certificate from Carolyn Cecil Ministries.
If you would prefer to register for college credit for this course, or you want to extend your Bible knowledge, Kingsbury Bible College is offering this Equipped course and four additional classes for an associate degree.
You must register and complete the classes through Kingsbury for college credit.
Either path you choose, degree or certificate, God wants to use you in His Kingdom. Enjoy your journey!
Lesson 6 - Witnessing and Evangelism
Laymen! A big revival is coming, and we need all hands-on deck. Pastors cannot do it all, and basic training is needed to bring people out of darkness into the kingdom of the light of Jesus Christ. People are struggling with evil, temptations, sin, finances, seduction, pornography, blood line curses, substance abuse, bondages, witchcraft, unworthiness, bitterness, anger, and resentment.
The list goes on and on. Parents see various evils pulling their family members away, they see their sons and daughters spiraling down into the pit of despair and hopelessness, but they do not realize the Bible has the answers. They know they have problems, but they do not know which way to turn.
A Believer’s first line of defense for protecting his own family is taking his Christian authority over the devil and demons commanding him out of the house (Luke 10:18-19).
This earthly journey has many roadblocks and blessing blockers that impede our success. Non-Christian experiences get us off the path of light. Cults, occults, witchcraft, hate groups, gossip, racism, Ouija boards, horror films, New Age practices, Freemasonry, reincarnation, and the like, rob people of their true God-given destiny. These non-Christian experiences destroy the joy and happiness of our time here on earth.
Lesson 9 - Ministry and Work of the Holy Spirit
Many Christians forget the enemy has to listen to your commands because you are a Christian, with clean hands and a pure heart, who has placed all sins under the blood of Jesus at the foot of the cross.
Many have read the Bible, but they do not know how to apply the scriptures to real life problems. They have believed the devil’s lies. Bondage is not a part of God’s plan for mankind, so why put up with it?
The Christian may want to break these bondages off the family but may not have the resources to go to Bible college or to special conferences to learn how or know which books are the best to read. Believers may not be interested in an associate degree, bachelors, masters, or doctorate—they just want empowerment and knowledge. Parents may simply want to keep evil out of their house, pray for the sick, do simple deliverance. There may be those who simply want to help a pastor carry the load. So, a School of Lay Ministry is being set up to fulfill that need.
Lesson 14 - Motivational/Natural/Functional/Redemptive Gifts
It would be easier to learn how to pray deliverance/bondage breaking/setting the captives free, if all the instructions were in a tidy list in one book of the Bible. But it is not…this information is spread over many books and 1,000 pages of the Bible. It took me 27 years to write the Equipped curriculum, and I put everything you would ever need to be the priest of your home and occasionally be a lay minister to free-up others. Parents, single mothers, grandparents, or singles can be trained on-line, at this School of Lay Ministry, without leaving home, church, career/job, or ministry you can become a minister of the gospel—armed and dangerous—to the enemy. No use to re-invent the wheel, let’s get to work.

About Your Instructor
Years ago we realized that many local churches were not meeting the needs of the Christian community. We talked to person after person who were struggling so much that they couldn’t reach out to others to fulfill the commission to spread the gospel. We knew Jesus was the answer and we knew that Jesus could do what He said He could do, so we began researching to figure out what was missing.
Over the course of 27 years, we developed Equipped: Equipping and Empowerment for Christians and Lay Ministers, which are 42 lessons designed to address the many issues that hinder most Christians. Once they overcome these issues in their own lives, many people then feel the confidence to reach out to others in their families and communities. As we taught these lessons in our own community / church, we saw significant change and spiritual growth. That’s why we have published these lessons into a full Lay Minister’s curriculum. We are confident that this is one of the most comprehensive resources available to help ordinary Christians overcome in their own lives and then fulfill the calling to help those around them.
